Yunnan Golden Needles

The mountainous areas of Yunnan, where tea gardens enjoy ideal growing conditions, are home to China’s famed black Yunnan teas. Yunnan Golden Needles, also known as ‘Dian Hong’, consists of only golden tips and is a truly rare tea. The buds are hand-rolled and offer an exceptional cup of golden amber. ‘Dian Hong’ is the black tea equivalent to the famous white Silver needle ‘Bai Hao’.

Certified Organic

The organic teas we import are artisanally farmed and crafted. They may change with each harvest season. The same tea harvested at a different time of year and processed by a different tea maker will vary slightly in flavour and finish.

China v

China has a rich tradition for producing higher quality black teas. Known as red tea in China, the tea leaves for these teas are carefully plucked and then gently processed. The end result is an exceptionally fragrant tea, soft with warm, toasty notes and less astringency.
Fujian Province is home to the pine-smoked Lapsang Souchong; the famous Keemun, the tea of the Queen, comes from Anhui Province; and from Yunnan Province the ever popular Yunnan teas.
