DARJEELING RISHEEHAT FIRST FLUSH CLONAL SFTGFOP1
Risheehat tea estate was established by the British in 1900. Located near the town of Darjeeling, overlooking the mighty Himalayas, the name Risheehat translates into ‘Home of The Holy Sages’.
The organic teas we import are artisanally farmed and crafted. They may change with each harvest season. The same tea harvested at a different time of year and processed by a different tea maker will vary slightly in flavour and finish.

The state of West Bengal in the foothills of the Himalayas, is home to the famous Darjeeling teas. The tea production in this area dates back almost two centuries when the British smuggled tea seeds and seedlings out of China to start their own tea industry in India. Since its early tea-growing history, the region of Darjeeling gained worldwide recognition for its fine teas. The teas produced in this area have a characteristic muscatel flavour and are sought after because of their delicate astringencies. They are known as the champagne of teas.
