The organic teas we import are artisanally farmed and crafted. They may change with each harvest season. The same tea harvested at a different time of year and processed by a different tea maker will vary slightly in flavour and finish.

Green tea has its origin in China. Since tea began to become popularized thousands of years ago, green tea has gone through an immense evolution and refinement. Today, tea in China is very regionalized with certain provinces producing only very specific types of tea. The main tea producing areas are Fujian (Jasmine), Henan (Mao Jian), Jiangsu (Bi Luo Chun), Jiangxi (Chun Mee and Yun Wu), Anhui (Mao Feng) and Zheijiang (Long Jin Dragonwell and Gunpowder). The style of tea from each region varies tremendously, some oven fired, some are processed flat and some are rolled. What all these teas have in common is that they are processed with utmost care and tremendous pride.
