Preparing For Our Autumn Tea Event!

Preparing For Our Autumn Tea Event!
10 YEAR CANADIAN TEA ANNIVERSARY
PREPARATION + CELEBRATION

This year marks a decade since the first 200 Camellia sinensis bushes were planted on the slopes of the Westholme property.

Without completely spilling the tea (so to speak), we wanted to let everyone know when to mark their calendars for a moment of celebration and steeping! Specifically, the tenth hour of the tenth day of the tenth month of the tenth year of
Westholme Canadian-grown Tea!

This event includes the Westholme Teashop + Gallery + Online Space. Please join us virtually or in-person!
We will have special new items and teas available online and in-store.
10 / 10 / 2020 @ 10:00am PST
(Saturday, October 10th)

  • Reopening the Westholme Gallery space, freshly restocked with Margit Nellemann ceramic art, just out of the kilns!
  • Launching an incredibly special Limited Edition, Organic, Canadian-grown Westholme Tea.

Happy Steeping!
We can't wait to share this special moment with you all.

TEA OF THE WEEK :: CREAM OF ASSAM SFTGFOP

An exquisite Special Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe from Dinjoye Estate in Assam, India

The flavour of this tea builds in strength and boldness on the palate as you sip, a characteristic typical of many Assam teas. What makes this tea so pleasant and unique is the way in which the palate rounds out before the cup becomes overly astringent or bitter. The taste is well-balanced, with a full-bodied sweet malt and pleasant linger.

Cream of Assam carries the milk and sweetener of your choice beautifully, but is also an excellent strong brew on its own.

Brewing Instructions: 2 g per cup. 100ºC water. steep 3 - 5 minutes.
 Organic

Discount Valid until MondaySeptember 21st @ 11:59 am

UPDATE FROM THE STUDIO

My studio is abuzz these days in preparation for the reopening of the gallery. The pieces that have been on display in the teashop will move back into the gallery space along with a myriad of new works. You can expect to see lanterns, vases, teapots and other exciting new designs.
I look forward to seeing you on October 10th.

Oh, and if you can't make it here on that day the exhibition will be up until Christmas. I will post pictures on social media for those of you unable to make it to the Gallery at Westholme.

As always, we are more than happy to ship directly to your house.

See you soon,

~ Margit Nellemann
